Trista Pickett, LCSW, therapist
Trista is a licensed social worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate the challenges of mental health. With a Master's degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University, and completion of the Postpartum Support International Two-Day Certificate training, Trista specializes in working with individuals struggling with maternal mental health, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.
Trista strives to explore, express, and understand all aspects of mental health with her clients. She values flexibility, room for growth, and encourages independence while providing support through challenges. Her approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-focused, and attachment-lensed, using elements of CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
Trista is working towards her certification in perinatal mental health and prioritizes continuing her education in areas such as infertility, loss, trauma, and grief during the perinatal period. She hopes to increase her understanding of the variety of mental health struggles that affect so many people and normalize the process of working through life challenges. Trista aims to empower her clients in their healing process and acceptance of their personal mental health journey.
In her free time, Trista enjoys reading and crafting. She loves to draw and paint, and spends time with her husband and little boy, hiking, fishing, and playing outdoors.
She wants new clients to know that she prioritizes their individual experience and incorporates flexibility in her practice to allow for personal growth.
