Michaela Hutchins, CSW, therapist

Michaela is a certified social worker and also practices as a birth doula. She appreciates and loves being able to enter into the sacred birth space and remind women of their personal strengths as they deliver. Michaela knows emotional pain and trauma are both mind and body experiences. As a trained Lifespan Integration therapist, she uses memory timelines to help the brain and body learn that traumatic events are over and that you are safe in the present. She also incorporates meditation, mindfulness, and mind-body bridging modalities into her sessions.

Michaela creates a space of warmth and safety for those who seek therapy to navigate pain, trauma, and to help challenge difficult thoughts and feelings. She applauds those who are seeking to find a place of wholeness and confidence inside of themselves. Her specialities include maternal mental health, infertility, couples, and trauma processing.

Michaela has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Brigham Young University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Utah. She is a trained Lifespan Integration therapist and has gone through the Postpartum Support International Two-Day Certificate training. She is also a trained birth doula.

For clients who meet with Michaela, she wants them to find inner security and a stronger core self knowing that it will impact how they show up in their lives, workplaces, families, relationships, and for themselves. She offers a loving and empathetic space for clients to come and be listened to with compassion.

When Michaela isn’t working she is traveling. She has been to over 33 countries and has lived on the African continent. Her dreams often consist of the next place to go. She likes to spend time with her husband, family and friends. She identifies as an old soul and loves to get down at a good dance party.

While life can be filled with trauma, it is also filled with strength, resilience, and hope for a beautiful future filled with the ability to overcome. Processing through big emotions can allow the mind to release painful memories.
